The Perfect Outfit May Be In Your Closet!

Even though our event is called the Black & White Ball, it's not necessarily a formal event. Many guests do wear evening attire (we've seen tuxedos, evening gowns, top hats and tails), while others are more comfortable in casual wear. We've fondly nicknamed the Ball, "Black & White...Wear What You Like!" But we do have a simple dress code...

We encourage our guests to dress for the annual theme. This year's is "Summer Nights - It's America, Anywhere, USA".

If you need help picking a costume, stop by Mad Hatters in Auburn, a spacious costume shop. (But if you just want to dress for comfort and skip the costume, by all means, do so!)

We ask your cooperation in not bringing any toy guns or weapons of any style to the Ball. Our police department and professional security teams want to insure a positive and pleasurable experience is enjoyed by all Ball-goers, and the risk of a toy gun being mistaken for something more is a factor. For the safety and enjoyment of all our guest, we need to advise you that toy weapons are restricted, and will be confiscated at the entry gates. We ask your cooperation in not bringing anything that could be misconstrued for a weapon to the Ball.

Please be aware that the Black & White Ball is held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, with its various elevations, curbs, and lawn areas. Be prepared to do a bit of walking if you wish to enjoy the total experience of the Ball - 3 venues - food courts - even a lounge, so comfortable shoes are a consideration.
